4th Grade
Pioneer Day • November 3, 2017
Pioneer Day is a fun-filled day for the 4th grade students at MIS. It is a chance for them to take a step back in time and experience some of the activities, food, and culture of our ancestors. Some of the food included homemade funnel cakes over an open fire, apple tasting, and cider. Among the activities were, artifact show & tell, tin punching, creating corn husk dolls, writing and drawing with quill pens, interacting with toys from the pioneer time period, creating pottery, candle dipping, folk music, and horse-drawn buggy rides.
