1. The Can•nonball Tournament will be December 11, 2019 (Grades 7-12). Teams of 6 compete for bragging rights and the title at this annual event. Pick up an entry form in the office, Cost is $6 per team. Admission at the event is $1 or 2 canned food or non-perishable items. We are also doing a Bake Sale and Ornament Sale in the Commons at the event.

2. December 7th after the girls' home basketball game until 11:30 will be the first ever Can Jam dance. The dance is available to grades 9-12, and costs $3, 3 cans, or a combination of cans and dollars. This event is hosted by the 7th period Senior English class and is a Sharing and Caring event. Come and enjoy games, dancing, and food with your friends. The proceeds from this event will be donated to Daniel's Place. Hope to see you there!

3. Squire Multimedia would like to invite grades 7-9 to our next #gamenight. We will be hosting in the high school media center on Thursday, December 12 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Snacks and games will be provided. Join us for a great time!

4. December 9th through December 13th, students will be selling candy grams during lunch to raise money for charity as part of their service-learning project. Be sure to stop by during your lunch and buy a candy gram design for $1 and have it delivered to your person of choice.

5. The Laketon Cloverleaves 4-H club will be caroling today after school. Meet outside the doors at the Jr HIgh to walk over to Peabody. Members should be picked up at 5:30 in our HOMEROOM across the hall from the Gift Shop at Peabody..

6. One person’s unwanted shoes can help provide meaningful opportunities that many in developing nations need, which is why the Sole Brigade has launched a shoe drive to collect 2020 new or gently-worn shoes. The shoes will be delivered to Soles4Souls–a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Founded in 2006, the organization has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and gently-worn shoes in 127 countries. There are drop-off bins in the commons, at the office, and in Mr. Zinsmeister's room.

10. Lunch Monday: Top Your Own Hamburger/Grilled Chicken Sandwich Bar, Sliced Peaches/Apple, Milk or SALAD BAR
