  1. The cheerleaders are selling t-shirts again this year for cancer awareness. Please pick up your order form from a cheerleader or in the high school office and plan to wear your tshirt to the kick off for cancer awareness night at the football game on Sept. 30th.-  Part of the profit will be given to the family of a senior cheerleader at North Miami high school that is battling Ewings Sarcoma. 
 
  1. Upcoming college reps are: Trine will be in the Commons at lunch on Wednesday, September 28th.   THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR WHAT POST-SECONDARY OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE.
 
  1. There is a bubble soccer tournament Saturday October 1st at Sweetwater Church. The tournament starts at 3pmand is followed by a live band, LaPorte 365, and Illusionist Jason Alvarado at 6:30pm.   1. Students, Athletes, Cheerleaders – do not put signs on the lockers as that removes the finish.
 
  1. Attention FFA Members: Our first crops judging practice will be tomorrow from 3:30 – 5:00 in the ag room. Hope to see you there!  
 
  1. The North Manchester Public library will be hosting the first Starbooks (a time for book talks and book check-out) with hot chocolate and snacks this TUESDAY the 27th- after school- in the media center at MJSHS from 3:30-4!  Heidi and Mrs. Acree will be featuring books that go with Read It Global for October!  Join us!  All 7th-12th graders welcome!
 
  1. Whether its STEM, STEAM or STREAM there is a growing need for jobs based in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields. Computer Hardware, Website development and coding are are great examples of Information Technology careers in the STEM field.  Computer Club is a great place to learn about these careers and try them out! There will be a computer club meeting after school tonight in the computer lab next to the High School Media Center. Students, grades 7-12, interested in learning more about coding, websites, Photoshop, etc. should join us! We don't play games . . . unless they are written by you! We meet most Tuesdays after school.  Tonight we will setup a new Raspberry Pi!
 
  1. The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is now available online at enf.elks.org/mvs. This application must be completed online by November 30, 2016.
