  1. Any high school girl interested in playing basketball this year who doesn't have access to the Google basketball calendar needs to email coach Everett as soon as possible. Workouts for girls not in a fall sport begin on Monday, August 29th.
 
  1. The Lilly Foundation Scholarship is now available at www.cfwabash.org Deadline to submit online is Sept. 26, 2016
 
  1. Girls Golf will be doing a dance fundraiser THIS Friday after the home football game in the Courtyard!   The dance is for grades 9-12 only, will last from 9-11:30p.m.and will cost $5! Come straight from the cheer section to the dance and get a glow in the dark item when you arrive! Thanks in advance for your support of the golf team!
 
  1. A representative from Valparaiso University will be in the Commons at lunch on Thursday, September 1st at lunch.

  1. School pictures are TODAY for grades 7-11. All students will have their picture taken whether they are purchasing pictures or not. If you are purchasing pictures, please bring your order form with you when you are called down to have your picture taken. Extra forms are in the office.
 
  1. 7th and 8th grade students are invited to attend 5th Quarter after the varsity game ends on Friday night. 5th Quarter is sponsored by the First Brethren Church and is held at the Town Life Center. Gaga Ball and Angry Birds Dodgeball and other games will be played. It costs $1.00 to get in and it ends at 11:00 p.m.
 
  1. ATTENTION ART STUDENTS: If you had artwork displayed in the Commons at the end of last year, please collect your work after school in the art room.
 
  1. I scream, you scream, we all scream for The Iglooice cream! FCA will be selling homemade ice cream cookies ($3.00) and pints of ice cream ($5.00) in 8 delicious flavors from The Iglooice cream shop at Friday night's football game. Flavors include Superman, Cookie Dough, This Just Got Serious (salted caramel with fudge and cashews), Ultimate Oreo, Black Cherry, Butter Pecan, Chocolate, and Vanilla. 
 
  1. Any student driving to school needs to pick up a parking permit in the office by Monday Aug 29th as we will be checking for permits starting on that day.  Charge is $10.00  see to take care of this.

Instrumentalists Compete In Solo and Ensemble

On Saturday, January 28th members of the high school band competed at solo and ensemble.  Emily Lynn received a gold rating on her group III violin solo.  Aisha Harris received a silver rating on her Group I flute AND her group I bassoon solos.  Arren Reust received a silver rating on his Group I tuba solo.  Congratulations.
