After a month's hard study, Manchester's Junior High Geography Bowl team placed third in the Running Rivers Conference competition recently. The topic this year was the colonization of North America with emphasis on the original 13 English colonies, but it also included the major European explorers of the 15th and 16th centuries, their discoveries and land claims–a very broad topic. The junior geographers on the team are Jorge Robles, Alex Newell, Abbey Naibauer, Izzy Diaz, Olivia Barefoot. Back: Eryn Lynn, Alex Smith, Adam Byers, Heath Dierks, Zoey Melton. Congrats to all! The team is coached by Tim Yeager.
