  1. College representatives will be in the commons at lunch: Grace College – October 12.
  1. Seniors: Do you feel you live a life of integrity, ethics and consideration for others? If so, MJSH can nominate 1 senior. This senior must write an essay (600-800 words) detailing an example of how your ethical behavior impacted your school or community and why you made the decisions you did and what you learned from the decisions and how those decisions have positively benefited your life. Two letters of recommendation are also needed – one from a teacher/coach and another from a non school member of the community who can vouch for your integrity. Deadline to apply is December 15. See Mrs. Denney if you feel you meet the requirements.
  1. Grace College invites high school students to learn more about their tuition reduction and free textbooks for all students during on of their fall campus visit days on October 16, October 23rd and November 13. Go to to register today.
  1. Any girl interested in playing basketball this year should plan on attending the call out meeting on Tuesday October 13th at 7:45 am in the high school gym. If you cannot make it to the meeting, please see coach Everett. Any student interested in being a manager for the Lady Squires this season needs to email coach Everett about their interest.
  1. Students: Just a reminder that the Voice of Democracy 3-5 minute tape over the topic "My Vision for the Future" for high school students and the Patriot's Pen essay for 7th and 8th graders is due to Mrs. Denney no later than October 30th.  Remember scholarship money is available for the winning entries.  See your English teacher or Mr. Webb if you are 7/8th grader and your Social Studies teacher for the high school students.
  2. Student Council will have a meeting this Thursday morning @ 7:30 in Mr. Screeton's room 205. See you there. GO SQUIRES !!!
