Below are the summer camps being conducted by Manchester High School.  Camp registration forms are available at MJSHS, MES, MIS, and High 5 Sports.

The girls’ basketball camp for students in grades 1-8 is set for July 22-26 from 8am-12 pm in the MHS gymnasium, under the direction of head coach Brooke Airgood with assistance from the MJSHS girls basketball staff and the high school players.  The cost of the camp per student will be $35.00, which will include a t-shirt, camp ball, and treats.

The boys’ basketball camp for students in grades K-8 is set for June 10-14.  K-2 from 12:30-1:30, grades 3-5 from 1:30-3:00, and grades 6-8 from 3:00-4:30 pm in the MHS gymnasium.  The camp will be under the direction of Eric Thompson with assistance from the MJSHS boys’ basketball staff and the high school players.  The camp will cost $10 or $20 dollars for camp and a ball, or $30 dollars for camp, ball, and t-shirt.

Boys‘ and girls’ soccer camp for students in grades 1-7 and will be held June 3-6 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Good Field.  The camp will be under the direction of Dave Mc Kee, boys’ soccer coach and Jacqui Erny girls’ soccer coach as well as the MHS boys’ and girls’ soccer players. There will be a cost of $25.00 per camper.  The camp costs include a t-shirt with the remaining funds to be used for the purchase of soccer equipment and team supplies.

The volleyball camp is for students in grades 4-8 and will be held on June 11-13 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the MHS Gym.  The camp will be under the direction of Sue Gnagy, with assistance from Melissa West, and varsity volleyball players.  The cost per camper is $30.00 for camp T-shirt and challenge prizes.

The boys’ and girls’ tennis lessons for students in grades K-12 is set for June 4-6, June 10-12, and 17-19 from 9-noon on the MHS Tennis Courts.  The camp will be under the direction of Joel Eichenauer with the help of Kyle Lahman, Connor Eichenauer, Karly Eichenauer and Steve Erny.  Fees are based on the level of the player and duration of the session.

Greg Miller has been named the 6th head football coach at Manchester High School after a vote of the Manchester Community School Board on Tuesday.  A lifetime resident of North Manchester, Miller graduated from Manchester High School in 1992 with an Academic Honors Diploma and Manchester College in 1997 with a degree in elementary education and middle school mathematics.  Miller has been the 7th grade mathematics teacher for the past 14 years in the  North Miami School Corporation.

As the North Miami High School varsity football coach for the past nine years, Miller was named the TRC Coach of the Year in 2007 and has coached seven All-State Players and two Academic All-State Players.  His 2012 team won the Class 1A Sectional championship.  His coaching record for the past six years is 45 wins and 24 losses.

Miller previously served as the Manchester freshman and 8th grade head coach and was a volunteer varsity assistant coach during his collegiate years. He was a remediation and math teacher previously for Manchester Community Schools.
